Since 2010, PEDRO has been working with World Vision – Singapore with the PEDRO Fights Aids Campaign, in support of its ONE LIFE FUND and in view of the prevention of HIV and AIDS.

The ONE LIFE FUND which is an educational bursary scheme, established on World Aids Day in 2008 is in support of the children and youth in Singapore who are either infected with HIV/AIDS, or who have one or both parents who are HIV-positive.

The campaign started off with a pair of moccasins which were exclusively designed with hints of red, symbolizing solidarity with HIV and the dangers that go along with the infection. Throughout the years, the brand has incorporated red into its palette, translated into different designs. 50% of the proceeds are donated to the ONE LIFE FUND and this CSR initiative is an imperative part of our business, and we are encouraged each year to continue with the positive response and support of our customers, proving the successful awareness gained with regards to the disease and cause.

HIV/AIDS takes a toll on not only ones well being, but also financially which leads to families not being able to afford to keep up with costs of education. The only problem is that Education is THE solution to extract these underprivileged children from poverty. All they need is a helping hand and a heart.
