“I’m nervous,” claimed Echeru just minutes before this interview, which we, in all honesty, didn’t quite buy. He exuded confidence right from the get go in his well-considered ensemble, even though he brought along few back-up outfits for this shoot.
It was truly remarkable observing him deliberate one outfit to the next. We couldn’t help but noticed how he inspected every detail – a mark of a dedicated fashion stylist coupled with a meticulous eye.
Once the interview began, he took all questions with ease, answering every query with aplomb and honesty, unveiling a warm disposition that is familiar and likeable. And at only 26, his fashion career has only just started, but sensing from the passion and energy that he has, Echeru has definitely a lot more to offer in years to come.

His passion for fashion started when he was a child still living in Johor, Malaysia. Eventually, he moved to capital Kuala Lumpur to pursue a degree in Fashion at LIMKOKWING University which kicked-off his fashion journey.
In 2017, his graduating design collection caught the attention of many and was even invited to showcase them in the United Kingdom during London Fashion Week.

He started his career in fashion at Charles & Keith in 2018 but soon joined PEDRO in 2020 as the brand’s first style advisor. With this role, Echeru explains that his approach is to truly understand who his client is.
Typically, he explains, before his appointment he will give his clients a set of questions, learning more about their personality and how best they would like to be
perceived as, stylistically.
From there, prior to meeting, using what’s currently available in store, Echeru will pick out a selection of shoes and bags that could elevate his/her personal style.
