Toh Wei Soong – The Art of Motion
Lap after lap, time after time.
新加坡殘奧游泳選手 Toh Wei Soong 始終在運動之中。自青少年時期投身競技游泳以來，他多次代表國家站上世界級舞台。在泳池裡，動作即是一切——被測量、被重複、被精煉。然而，也正是這份高度結構化與專注，促使他將目光投向泳池之外的世界。
在與 PEDRO 的合作中，Wei Soong 以 2025 春夏與秋季系列中的精選單品為畫布，創作出一系列手繪作品。每一件作品都邀請觀者放慢視線，細細觀看。物件成為承載的表面，黑色墨跡以流暢的筆勢落下，停留在它們落筆之處，任其自然乾燥。色彩選擇極為克制，而表達則源於直覺。

這些作品反映出他對「功能之外的自我」的探索渴望。他的創作方式充滿表現力，卻從不失序。他被墨水的即時性與重量所吸引——每一道筆觸皆經過思考，卻從未預演。沒有草稿，也沒有重來，只有動作與材質之間，那一瞬間的真實接觸。
最終呈現的作品，不試圖解釋什麼，而只是純粹地表達。它存在於兩者之間——動與靜、意圖與釋放、運動員與藝術家之間的縫隙。
對 Wei Soong 而言，這兩個身分從未被清楚劃分。它們都是他理解與穿梭世界的方式；都是身體的、情感的，最終也是人性的。
